On behalf of the ELPCO board, we'd like to welcome you to the new ELPCO website. The East Liberty Park Community Organization is a local community organization that represents the residents and business in the East Liberty Park area of Salt Lake City, Utah. The specific area covered by ELPCO is defined by the boundaries of 700 E to 1100 E and 900 S to 1300 S. Our website is currently in the process of being set up and we hope to make it a valuable community resource for all residences and businesses located in and near the ELPCO area. We would like to thank the folks at XMission for their donation of services. This website and our electronic communications to the community wouldn't be possible without their generous support.

- All software used is 100% Open Source
In the coming days and weeks, there will be significant changes to the look and layout as we get things in place. When the site is a little more "baked", residents and business owners in the area will be able to create user accounts so they can log in and access contact information for the ELPCO board. We also are in the process of moving our mailing list from the University of Utah. We also will accept article submissions from the community once the site is up and running - the content is intended to be managed "By the Community, For the Community". Our selection of Joomla! is to make it easy for non-technical members of the community to submit their articles and stories without having to know anything about the technical details. With the content editor in Joomla!, you just need to be able to write your content - no HTML experience is necessary. |
